Summer is here, and it is a time I remember fondly. When I was 6 years old, I attended my first summer camp. On my first day, I was anxious, but I started to see kids with hearing aids and kids that used sign language. I cannot describe the excitement I felt when I saw so many kids who were just like me – deaf.

September is National Guide Dog Month! So let's raise some awareness and show some appreciation and support to these special animals! A service animal can be a dog or even a miniature horse that has been trained to perform helpful tasks for an individual with a disability.

Sometimes care rationing means that people will be denied life-saving care and instead will only receive care to help them be more comfortable. When care rationing happens on the basis of certain characteristics, it can be unlawful or wrong.
