Proposed Sun Tran Changes & Cuts – Feedback Due by September 8

The City of Tucson, in partnership with the Pima Association of Governments and the Regional Transportation Authority, conducted a comprehensive analysis and are proposing changes to transit services to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and equity of current transit options. The proposed changes include discontinuing 13 routes.

The following are the 13 routes being proposed to cut:

  • Route 1 – Glenn/Swan

  • Route 3 – 6th St/Wilmot

  • Route 5 – Pima/W. Speedway

  • Route 19 – Stone

  • Route 23 – Mission

  • Route 34 – Craycroft/Ft. Lowell

  • Express Routes 102X, 103X, 104X, 105X, 107X, 108X, 203X

Accessible transportation is a disability rights issue! Now is the time to learn more about the proposed changes and advocate. You can share your feedback on the City of Tucson’s survey or make your comments by phone at 520-792-9222. The deadline is through tomorrow, September 8.
