Peer Support & Mentoring

Peer Support & Mentoring offers opportunities to work together to share disability-related experiences and learn from each other. Mentoring is individualized, based on participant goals and may include:

  • Navigating life with a disability

  • Support to prioritize independence

  • Acquiring coping skills

  • Self-advocacy, including making informed choices and taking control of life decisions

  • Education and/or employment

  • Building confidence and becoming a role model

  • Advocacy with systems
